Who are you? Tell us a bit more about yourself!

My name is Cordelia Low, and I’m FEMALE Magazine’s 50 Gorgeous People Winner 2013, Miss Universe Singapore 2013 2nd Runner up as well. I am also the owner and founder of Anticipatingdiva, a local talent based agency.

What’s your story? Tell us about a life-changing incident.

I would say, growing up in a single-parent family was tough, with my mother emigrating to Canada when I was 8, I basically grew up with 2 elder brothers and my dad. Being the only lady in the household made me grow up a lot faster, being independent and stronger.

Why 50for50 and why now?

I was given this amazing opportunity by a childhood friend and I figured it is time for myself to give back to the society and play my part.

What gets you up in the morning?

Don’t mind me, I don’t have a full time job so I pretty much sleep late, and get up late. So what probably gets me up is my phone buzzing with tons of calls and text messages.

Why this cause out of so many causes?

I would say it is tough to grow up in a childhood when I was forced to grow up a lot faster. When you’re only a child once, there’s nothing we can do to relive our childhood. Hence, I would want to give it my best to make sure the kids will remember their childhood and grow up having a smile on their faces.

Any experiences with charity or non-profit work before?

I always wanted to work with charities to be honest, but I never knew how to go about and I always procrastinated due to work and other commitments. This will be my first time helping out in this project and I definitely can’t wait to kick start and get donations for the Children’s Aid Society!

What kind of change are you looking to bring about as a changemaker?

I really hope to make a difference and change the perspective of what people think of us GenY!

What is your big idea on how to raise funds for 50for50?
