BIZLINK CENTRE SINGAPORE LTD
- In 1985, then Ministry of Community Development & Singapore Council of Social Service jointly started a project that aimed at establishing employment programmes for people with disabilities. Bizlink was entrusted with the task of finding employment for the disadvantaged. Professionally manned with a team of professionals ranging from psychologists to social workers, assessment of the vocational skills of the disadvantaged are done to improve their employment opportunities. Bizlink runs a free employment placement programme to seek jobs for their clients and a sheltered workshop offering business process outsourcing services to commercial companies for disabled workers who are not ready to work in commercial companies.
- Bizlink also have a social enterprise arm under its charity which provides jobs for People with Disabilities (PWDs) working in the sheltered workshops and those who are home based. The objectives of the Social Enterprise include running Bizlink’s key business profitably and to provide employment and honing the skills of PWDs and other disadvantaged groups. Bizlink has since reached out to other groups of disadvantaged people, including the mentally & socially disadvantaged people. The 5 social enterprises under Bizlink include Cleaning Services, Data Entry & IT Related Services, Packing & Fulfilment Services, Manpower Outsourcing and Cards & Gifts.
