Who are you? Tell us a bit more about yourself!

I am a mother of 2 boys (3 years old and 6 months old) and the co-founder of AT Asset Management. It is not easy taking care of 2 kids and a business but I learn a little everyday and keep reminding myself to look forward and improve every single day. My children are my source of energy, just like the famous quote that says “Being a mother is not about what you gave up to have children but what you gained from having them.”

What’s your story? Tell us about a life-changing incident.

My younger brother was an autistic child and he passed away from a brain tumour in 2009. My mother-in-law is has Alzheimer’s disease and needs special care. Hence, we chose this charity organisation to donate to.

Why 50for50 and why now?

I have been blessed with so much, this is the perfect opportunity for me to give back to society and to the cause I feel strongly for.

What gets you up in the morning?

My kids, every single day.

Why this cause out of so many causes?

My brother was autistic and I saw how society can be ignorant about this condition. More can be done to raise the awareness because these special needs kids deserve respect and a fair chance in life.

Any experiences with charity or non-profit work before?

What kind of change are you looking to bring about as a changemaker?

Raise awareness, Singaporeans should be more compassionate and understanding to the less fortunate people.

What is your big idea on how to raise funds for 50for50?

I’m planning to work with my baker cousin to prepare xmas goodie packages to sell to friends and colleagues. I’m also planning to post a video of my visit to the association on social media to raise awareness.
